My first acquaintance with SolBridge was in the summer of 2016 when I came for the Summer English Camp organized by the school. At the end of that Camp, my group and I won a scholarship for an education program in SolBridge International School of Business. By sheer luck, it was the gap year that I had taken off after University to make up my mind on what I wanted to do next. So, I took all the circumstances as a sign from above and six months later, I joined SolBridge as an MBA Student.

Frankly speaking, I didn’t give the decision to study in SolBridge much thought even though it seems like a challenging and significant decision. I had seen and experienced the positive things of studying at SolBridge and living in Korea during that short period in summer.

As a citizen of the western part of Russia, the East is very different from what we are accustomed to; the culture, people, traditions, behaviors are different, and South Korea is no exception. Nevertheless, that is one of the biggest advantages of this country. Everything in Korea, from daily life to intellectual values, from cultural patterns of conduct to political campaigns, varies considerably and makes it exciting to study and explore. The thing that I like most about being here is that you will never get lost neither physically nor mentally. First, people here are very responsive and helpful; you can always ask for help without fear of being rejected. Secondly, the atmosphere will never let you feel lonely or abandoned, anyone can find oneself here.

I am repeatedly asked these days if I regret my decision to come to SolBridge, and I can respond with a resounding «no». Every new experience builds our fates and makes us who we are. Get out of your comfort zone and be ready to open yourself to the world!
