Biography
Dr. Aye Mengistu Alemu is an associate professor of economics at SolBridge International school of Business, South Korea. He earned a PhD degree in development economics from Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (Japan); M.A degree in international political economy from Tsukuba University (Japan); M.A degree in economics from University of Wales (UK) and B.Sc degree in Statistics and Mathematics from Addis Ababa University (Ethiopia). Dr. Aye has published more than 25 research articles in internationally accredited peer-reviewed journals. He also presented more than 30 research papers at various prestigious international conferences across Asia, Europe, North America, Latin America, Australia, and Africa.
Prior to joining Solbridge International School of Business, Dr. Aye taught at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University in Japan both at graduate and undergraduate programs. Additionally, he was a visiting professor at Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) in China for a short period of time.
In addition to teaching and research at higher learning institutions, Dr Aye Mengistu Alemu has a very significant international and regional experience in working as a “Project Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist” for a $90 million World Bank/IFAD assisted project in Ethiopia from 2000-2005. Dr Aye’s geographical area of research includes East Asia, South Asia, Middle East, and Africa.

Biography
Holding a PhD in Economic History, London School of Economics (2003), he is a Professor in International Business at KEDGE Business School, Marseille and a member of the Institute of East Asian Studies (IAO), Lyon.
His field of research is Japanese history during the Taishō and early Shōwa period and the contemporary (1990 – to the present). Therein, his primary focus is on the relationship between big business and government considered from a social constructivist perspective. More recent research has included technology transfer in South Korea and its exercise of Soft Power.

Biography
Harold Y. Shim is a practicing lawyer and a Visiting Professor of business law related courses at SolBridge. He graduated with a J.D. degree from University of California, Davis, and is a member of the Washington State Bar Association. In a legal career that spans 39 years, he has worked in international business transactions and commercial litigation at law firms in Washington State and Korea, primarily representing Fortune 500 companies. His work included representing U.S. and German companies acquiring publicly listed companies in Korea in some of the largest transactions in Korea at the time. For the past 25 years, the bulk of his practice has been devoted to representing multinational companies in product liability suits in Korea.
While practicing law, he also established and operated a yachting business in Korea for 11 years and taught business law courses for 5 years at University of Maryland, Yongsan Campus, and at SolBridge.
Professor Shim has held public appointments in the U.S. and in Korea, having served as the Chairman of the Washington State ommission on Asian Pacific American Affairs and as a Commissioner of the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday Commission. He was also a member of the 2002 Korea-Japan World Cup Organizing Committee.

Biography
Hwansung is currently a visiting professor in International Business at Solbridge International School of Business. Prior to his role at SolBridge, he served as an assistant professor at EMLV in France. He also gained industry experience as an assistant manager at Renault Samsung Motors, overseeing international supply chain and procurement for automotive parts.
Hwansung holds a Ph.D. in International Business from Temple University, as well as an MBA and a BA in Law and Business from Sogang University.
Additionally, he earned an MA in International Business from the University of Florida. His research interests focus on international business, innovation ecosystems, clustering in metropolitan areas, and strategic firm location decisions. During his Ph.D. studies, he worked as a research associate for the City of Philadelphia, contributing to the Global City Initiative (GCI)Project, supported by the Brookings Institution.

Biography
Roger Royo is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in Asia, where he has been instrumental in fostering collaboration between the private sector, nonprofitorganizations, and governmental bodies. With a deep passion for technology and its role in driving innovation, Roger’s career spans more than nine years in managing startup ecosystems and mentoring future business leaders. As the President of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Korea, he played a key role in strengthening ties between Spain and South Korea, leading high-level business relations and strategic initiatives.
In addition to his academic role as Assistant Professor and Head of the Startup Centerat SolBridge International School of Business, Roger is also an advisor for Daejeon CityHall, where he supports investment strategies that promote business growth and innovation. His work has consistently bridged the gap between the public and privatesectors, with a focus on corporate venture capital, ESG, and global strategy. At KAIST,his research and advisory activities focus on facilitating joint R&D projects andinternational partnerships between Korean and European stakeholders. Roger’s diverseexperiences make him a valuable contributor to both the academic and business communities.

Ronny Estrella assumed the role of Assistant Professor at SolBridge International School of Business in 2022. Prior to this, he served as a research assistant at KAIST within the Graduate School of Global Digital Innovation. His professional background also encompasses a tenure at a public waste management company, where he specialized in security and data center administration.
With expertise in technology transfer projects, international R&D endeavors, and digital transformation consulting, he obtained a doctoral degree in Business Technology Management from KAIST, along with a master's degree in Information and Telecommunications. Biography
Chia-Hsing Huang is a professor of SolBridge International School of Business, Korea. He has Ph.D. degree from University of Pennsylvania USA in 1994, and MBA degree from University of Connecticut USA in 1990. Professor Huang has 20 years teaching experience in the Undergraduate, MBA, EMBA and Ph.D. levels in a number of the leading universities in America, Kazakhstan, Taiwan, Vietnam and Thailand.
He was elected to be the finance department chairman and worked as an advisor on finance, investment, merger and acquisition, real estate, and strategic planning and implementation to many companies and institutions both in private and public sectors, such as construction company, security firm, bank, TV, computer network, and city government. He also had work experience in investment analysis of TV talk shows and radio call in programs.
Professor Huang has published a number of books and several papers in the leading international journals.

Biography
A chartered management accountant and member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), UK since 2005. Started career as an Assistant Accountant with Ghana Water Company in August 1990.
The last industry position held was acting CEO of UTRAK Capital Management an investment company helped formed in July 2012.
University teaching started in 2006 and taught at the following universities in Ghana; Christian Service University College, KNUST Business School, UEW Business School Kumasi, Ghana Technology University and University for Development Studies Tamale, before accepting appointment at SolBridge International School of Business in September 2013.

Nurmukhammad Yusupov is an Assistant Professor of Finance at SolBridge International School of Business. His research focuses on financial markets and institutions in developing economies. In addition to many years of university level teaching, he has extensive experience in consulting governmental agencies and international development organizations. Biography
Sangwoo Shin is Assistant professor at the Solbridge International School of Business. Prior to joining Solbridge faculty, he served as Assistant professor of Marketing at the Krannert School of Management, Purdue University. He earned BBA and MBA from Seoul National University and Ph.D. in Marketing from University of Rochester. His research interests lie in quantitative modeling in Marketing including dynamic consumer decision under uncertainty, strategic firm decision in the direct marketing context, conjoint analysis, and applied Bayesian statistics.

Sook-min Kim is an Assistant Professor and the Director of Joint Program and Governmental Funded Project at SolBridge International School of Business.
She received her Ph.D. in Business from Korea University, M.S. from Korea University, and BBA from Ewha Womens University. She has publications in various journals including Korea Business Review, Korean Accounting Review, Sustainability, Journal of Asian Finance, Economics and Business, Study on Accounting, Taxation & Auditing, Korean Journal of Managerial Accounting Review. C. Min Han is a Professor of International Business and Marketing at Hanyang University, Seoul, Korea, and a Lecturer of International Business at SolBridge International School of Business. He was President of the Korean Academy of International Business in 2006. His non-academic experience includes an advisory member for Samsung Electronics and Hyundai Motors and a member of the Presidential Council on Brand Korea.
C. Min Han has also taught at Wayne State University (USA), Nagoya University of Commerce and Business, the University of Hawaii at Manoa, University of Mannheim (Germany), City University of Hong Kong, National Sun-yat Sen University (Taiwan), and Asia-Pacific University of Japan. Jinju Heo, DBA
Jinju Heo is a visiting professor of luxury brand management, innovation and sustainability at Solbridge international school of business in Korea.
She is currently a teaching faculty of Glion Institute of Higher Education in Switzerland, ranked one of the top 3 establishments for hospitality management in the world and also affiliated with several French business schools, specializing in areas such as future narratives, personas, luxury innovation, and circular economy business models.
Well-versed in the realms of luxury and sustainability, with experience spanning teaching, advisory roles, and research, she has held the position of sustainable innovation advisor at CHANEL, where she has spearheaded various projects across different locations, primarily within CHANEL's European operations based out of Madrid.
Additionally, she has been actively participated in significant projects focused on ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) and has been instrumental in developing prototypes for assessing ESG performance within the luxury sector for prominent clients.
Her research revolves around sustainable practices within the luxury industry. She is the author of chapters on innovation for Routledge, has conducted an extensive case study on the partnership between a luxury company and technology firm, delved into an integrated literature review on circular business models, and explored the luxury sector's engagement with the metaverse. Jinju equally explores the role of technology in social aspects such as consumers, luxury branding, identity and personal preferences.

Prof. Gilbert M. Tumibay is a Visiting Professor of Management Information Systems and Technology Management at SolBridge International School of Business. He is a graduate of Masters of Science in Information Technology and Doctor of Philosophy in Information Technology at Hannam University, Daejeon City, Republic of Korea.
He was a former Dean of the College of Computer Studies of two Universities in the Philippines, the Wesleyan University-Philippines (WU-P) and the Angeles University Foundation (AUF). He also served as Program Chair of the Master in Information Technology (MIT) and Doctor of Information Technology (DIT) programs of AUF. He is a former President of the Philippine Operations of ToroCloud, a software development company based in Hong Kong with a branch in Sydney, Australia and Clark, Philippines. He was a former Commission on Information Technology Education (CITE) member and an accreditor of the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges, and Universities (PAASCU).
Currently, he is one of the national board members of the Philippine Society of Information Technology Educators (PSITE), the largest professional organization of IT Educators in the Philippines. His research interest is in Software Engineering, Information Systems, Project Management, Web and E-Commerce, Enterprise Integration and Data Analysis.

Biography
Shijith is an Assistant Professor at SolBridge International School of Business. His primary teaching and research interests lie in operations management and decision making. He has been teaching operations management related courses for undergraduate, masters, and executive level programs. He also engages in corporate training and leadership development programs. His research interests lie in behavioral decision making and wisdom of crowd in various operations management application areas. He has published and presented his research and views at different academic (such as POM, INFORMS, IEOM, Society of Operations Management, etc.) and practitioner forums (such as, APICS, NASSCOM, IIIE, etc.). He is a member of the INFORMS and the Association for Supply Chain management (ASCM, APICS).
Prior to starting his academic career, Shijith has worked as a business analyst/operations & supply chain management consultant for over six years in a leading IT & consulting organization. He is also APICS (ASCM-Association for Supply Chain Management), USA certified CPIM.

Biography
Paul Wohlfarth joined SolBridge International School of Business as assistant professor in 2020.
He previously held positions at the University of Brighton and the University of London (Birkbeck and LBS) alongside professional experience in fixed income and banking. He further led workshops on Python programming with the Society of Professional Economics in London.
Professor Wohlfarth holds a PhD in Finance and Economics from the University of London (Birkbeck) as well as degrees in Economics from the University of Warwick and the University of Goettingen.
His research is at the intersection of international monetary economics, foreign exchange markets and applied econometrics as well as on Chinese financial and economic development. It featured in several international conferences and was published in peer reviewed international journals.

Jung Kwan Kim is an assistant professor at the SolBridge International School of Business, an entrepreneurial AACSB-accredited business school in Korea. His research interest lies in the broad fields of Strategic Management, International Business, and Entrepreneurship, with an emphasis on innovation and global strategy. He is fascinated by the tension among innovation, imitation, and protection that disrupts long-lasting management practices in a global context. He seeks to discover how some firms create/adapt to such tension and achieve improved firm-level performance. Moon Young Kim is an Assistant Professor at SolBridge International School of Business. He is currently writing his PhD thesis on Foreign Direct Investment(FDI) impact to major developing countries from Jamia Milia Islamia University, India.
Before joining SolBridge, Professor Kim worked for Korea Trade Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) for over 30 years, including overseas appointments in India, USA, and Thailand.

He is a senior lecturer in finance at the Faculty of Business and Management, Universiti Teknologi MARA, Sabah Branch, Kota Kinabalu Campus, Malaysia and presently undertaking his Postdoctoral training at SolBridge International School of Business, South Korea from September 2022 to August 2024. In the research service, he is serving as an associate editor for 4 Scopus/ESCI journals (Cogent Economics and Finance, Asian Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Financial Services Marketing, and Future Business Journal) and an editorial board for other 6 ISI/Scopus/ABDC journals. He actively supervises postgraduate research with 11 postgraduate research students in his portfolio undertaking DBA/PhD/MSc. In the consultancy service, he has been involved in a series of graduate entrepreneurship development programs. Prior to academic career, he had served as a business credit analyst and consultant in a funds management and investment firm in Malaysia undertaking mutual funds investment analysis and funds management. He is an associate member of Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers since 2005.

She started her career as a senior lecturer at University Sains Malaysia (USM) and University of Malaysia (UM). Her specialization is in Investment Analysis, Risk Management and Entrepreneurship. Professor Azlinna obtained her PhD in Finance from University of Liverpool England in 2003 and her thesis title is “Stock Index Futures Efficiency: Comparison studies between Malaysia, Singapore and London Markets”. She held MSc. in International Banking and Financial Studies from University of Southampton, England and BBA in Finance from Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, USA and Diploma in Business Studies from Mara Institute of Technology, Malaysia. In 2013, Azlinna managed to earn a Postgraduate Diploma in Entrepreneurship from University of Cambridge, England.
Professor Azlinna has supervised and graduated 25 PhD and Master students. Her research interest is on investment analysis and, the derivatives market and currently embarking in Risk Management and Entrepreneurship. In 2005, Azlinna won Best Distinguished Thesis from World Business Institute Melbourne. She has published about 100 research papers in international and national journals and won several best papers award at Local and International conferences

Biography
Dr. Sara Khawar is a passionate entrepreneurship educationist who has done her PhD in Management Studies (Entrepreneurship) from the University of Exeter, UK. Prior to her PhD, she did MSc. International Management with specialization in Entrepreneurship and Innovation from the same university.
After her PhD, she joined Information Technology University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan as an Assistant Professor in March 2020. She has taught Management and Entrepreneurship courses to both Business and Engineering students at undergraduate, postgraduate and Executive MBA level. She is an experienced academic administrator who has performed leadership roles such as Chairperson (HOD) School of Business and Management, Dean Faculty of Business and Management Sciences, Interim Director Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization, Interim Dean Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and Chairperson Ethical Institutional Review Board. Other than these leadership roles, she has also served as a member of the ITU Syndicate, ITU Academic Council, ITU Board of Advanced Studies and Research, Selection Committee for Faculty and Staff Positions. Her core area of specialization is Entrepreneurship and she has been involved in start-up mentoring and training. Biography
Born in South Korea, raised in the U.S., and studied in China and Korea, Irene is a multi-cultured individual who believes in global citizenship, equity, philanthropy, and sustainability. She serves as a visiting professor at the SolBridge International Business School in South Korea and served as an Associate Director of Graduate Admissions and Recruitment, overseeing admissions and recruitment of graduate business programs at the A. Gary Anderson Graduate School of Management. Before joining SolBridge and U.C. Riverside, she worked in both the private and public sectors in marketing and higher education. She was a marketing manager at Global ePoint and a regional manager at Gloworks U.S.A. She also worked at Korea Productive Center, government research and consulting agency under Korea's Ministry of Trade and Energy. As an entrepreneur, she co-founded Jungsung BMC, Inc., a consulting service provider in business and education. She is a member of the American Education Research Association (AERA), Association for the Study of Higher Education (ASHE), Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), and Forte Foundation for women's leadership in business.
Irene earned a B.S. in Business and an MBA at the University of California, Riverside, and studied abroad at Peking University in China and Yonsei University in South Korea. Her Ph.D. is in Higher Education Administration and Policy at the University of California, Riverside, with research on 'Entrepreneurship Education and its impact on student's entrepreneurial intention,' and research areas in entrepreneurship, international business, corporate sustainability, and social entrepreneurship.

Dr. Maurice R. Forget is an international researcher and business school professor with over ten years of senior leadership experience in executive and graduate education. He holds an Ed.D. (Doctor of Education) from the University of Pennsylvania. His doctoral research focused on emotional intelligence across cultures and was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Robbin Chapman, Associate Dean at Harvard University. As an expert and consultant in neuroscience-based performance and neuropsychology, he is an IFSC – Brain Health France board member and a Fellow of the IOC at McLean Hospital, Harvard Medical School’s largest psychiatric facility.
He previously completed a Master of Science in Education (M.S.Ed.) at the University of Pennsylvania, Graduate School of Education, after attending a graduate program in Educational Leadership at the UCL Institute of Education in London. His previous academic background was in international law, having completed a master’s degree (LL.M.) in International Business, Trade & Tax Law at the Panthéon-Assas University in Paris, France. A life-long learner, he is completing another master’s degree in psychology at Harvard University, specializing in neuropsychology and psychometrics.
Maurice’s teaching and research expertise are primarily related to organizational psychology, global leadership, sychometrics, behavioral neurosciences, and neuropsychology, as well as social research methodology and ethics. Combining his different fields of expertise, his current academic research mainly focuses on complex social-emotional meta-competencies, neuro-performance, and the associated psychological variables of global leaders.

Melanie Fernandes is currently serving as a Visiting Professor and Scholarship and Accreditation Manager at SolBridge International School of Business. She earned her PhD in Global Management from SolBridge International School of Business in 2024. Her research interests are centered on social media marketing and the profound impacts of eXtended Reality (XR) technology on both business practices and societal interactions. In her role, she actively contributes to the academic community through her research, teaching, and leadership in accreditation processes, helping to shape the future of business education.

Gleb Gadelshin is a visiting professor at the SolBridge International School of Business. He received his Ph.D. in Global Management from SolBridge International School of Business focusing on the cultural intelligence and job satisfaction of expatriate workers in South Korea. He has resided in Korea for close to 10 years among which 5 years he served as an Outbound Program Coordinator for SolBridge students. Dr. Abhishek Shashikant Nayak is the current Director of the Masters Program in Business Analytics at EGADE Business School in Mexico. With a Ph.D. in Digital Marketing from IE Business School in Madrid, Spain, he has extensive knowledge and experience in user-generated content analytics, online brand monitoring, and data driven decision-making.
Dr. Abhishek also founded a digital growth accelerator called Arbalest Learning in Amsterdam, where he helped SMEs and startups implement their digital growth strategy. He and his team completed over 105 projects in 3 years of company’s existence.
With over 2000 hours of teaching experience across 7 countries and 11 institutions, he has been a visiting professor at several universities in Spain, Netherlands, South Korea, Colombia, India, Peru, Guatemala, Vietnam, and Mexico.
Dr. Abhishek’s expertise lies in the triangulation of three related domains: Data driven decision-making, Digital Marketing & Analytics, and Technology adoption. Apart from his work, he is very active in Yoga and Meditation and has given talks on Existentialism, Developing a Global Mindset, and amazing harmony between technology and humanity. Dr. Kakoli Sen holds a Ph.D. in Management, has worked for about 8 years in the industry before moving to academia 18 years ago. She has held leadership roles in the Higher Education sector and has been involved in Institutional Development, International Collaborations, New Program development and Corporate Communications. She has worked as Regional Training Manager for Intel Inc. national project and has also done international consultancies in Africa. She has had exposure to British and European Education Systems apart from the Indian Education system. She speaks at various prestigious forums / conferences and her papers and case studies have been published in ABDC Listed journals, Richard Ivey cases and Harvard Business Publishing.
She has published three books in the area of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
She is also the Founder & former Co-Chair of the Centre of Excellence – Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at Woxsen University and has undertaken several Inclusion projects. She teaches and trains in OB, HRM, Leadership, DEI area.
Her research paper was selected at the most prestigious Academy of Management Conference 2024. She also writes practitioner articles for the Ivey institutions newsletters. Atour TAGHIPOUR (HDR, PhD, Eng) is a qualified professor for full professor positions by the National Council of Universities in France. He holds his HDR (Habilitation to Direct Researches) from Normandy University in France. His PhD is in Industrial Engineering from Polytechnic Montreal (University of Canada) in Canada. He received two masters’ degrees, one in Management, Logistics & Strategy and other in Industrial Engineering. He has more than ten years of experience as a manager in automobile and high-tech industries. He has published many books and research papers in international journals. His works have appeared in the European Journal of Operational Research, International Journal of Production Research, Annals of Operations Research, Computers and Industrial Engineering, Journal of Cleaner Production, etc. along with many conferences. His areas of research are supply chain and operations management. His work often focuses on bridging gaps in communication and enhancing coordination through digital solutions. He is recognized for his leadership skills and his ability to inspire others to embrace technology for positive change. His insights and expertise have made him a sought-after speaker at conferences and events. As an enthusiastic and devoted Professor, he strives to pass on his love of learning to his students.
